Presidential Pink | EPI celebrates the installment of its VP to President of MPI OC with a Rock Opera

July 26, 2019
Last month EPI produced a beautiful award & installation dinner at the Richard Nixon Library & Museum inspired by Nikolo Kotzev’s Nostradamus Rock Opera and Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette.

The sold-out event celebrated past year’s achievements of the Meeting Professionals International Orange County Chapter as well as installed the 2019 MPIOC Board of Directors, naming Pawntra Shadab, CTA, Vice President of Events and Marketing of EPI as this year’s President.

Guests were greeted by a red carpet and live entertainers who welcomed the attendees into the garden and the reflecting pool. Members and non-members enjoyed an open bar, on site mini donut station, passed hors d’oeuvres and the signature cocktail—prickly pear.

Following the award ceremony, guests were invited into the White House East Room. EPI transformed the typically regal space into a modern and chic celebration with hues of pink, in perfect juxtaposition to the usual masculine energy of the room.

The theme of the event was “Rock Opera,” and EPI brought the drama. In the same way Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette took a historical event and gave it a rock n’ roll soundtrack. EPI team chose items in direct opposition to the historical space, with acrylic chairs and modern tables and extraordinary florals, creating an edgy and cool space for the celebration.

An ombré selection of several varieties of roses was gathered into lavish centerpieces that cascaded from the top of the tables, with dark plum branches and stark black palm leaves evoking the drama of the rock opera.

EPI team designed two other distinct centerpieces, retaining the same color palette while creating a unique perspective for guests. Tables were also adorned with crystal candelabras and custom black candles.

To play up the rock edge, EPI chose black flatware, crisp white linens and lots of votive candles to help add shine to the crystal in the room, from the chandelier to the small vignettes on the tables and beautiful glass candle holders.

Gold framed mirrors reflected the beauty of the room back into the space, and pink lightning created a deliciously relaxing color palette, allowing guests to unwind and enjoy their dinner.

For the Love of Purple Engagement Party

Our team dreamed up this purple motif for an outdoor Engagement celebration at a client’s home. Deep mauve and plum, lavender and lilac tones created visual interest and a bright and happy set up. Florals, also designed by Elite Productions International were a similar mix of purple hues, with large arrangements creating a gorgeous photo wall and anchoring the bar, and smaller flowers providing ambiance without being a distraction so guests can truly visit and chat during dinner.
